It's been awhile since I posted last...sorry. Anyhow the kids and I went to a birthday party last night and for the first time since my sweet baby boy was born nine months ago I felt bad for the people around me. I laid Dawson on the floor and as he was playing this girl that I have known for a very long time came and sat by me and said oh pooooor Dawson. He rolled over and smiled at her and she said it's just so sad. I looked at him smiling and thought to myself he doesn't look so sad to me. Then another lady asked if she could hold him and picked him up. She asked how old he is and i told her almost nine months surprised she said oh my gosh he is tiny. So I explained he had down syndrome and down syndrome kids are normally a little smaller than typical babies. The lady next to her started saying oh I knew it I just knew I could tell just by looking at him something is wrong with him but I wasn't gonna ask because that would just be rude. Uh and what she said about him wasn't rude??? Another lady sat down and said oh wow he can hold his head up. Really he's nine months old I hope he can. Then she said oh look he uses his arms to push himself up. Wow I think these people think he is supposed to lay there and stare at the wall the whole time. We will just say they are uneducated for now.
Does he look like a pooooor Dawson to you?
Looks like he is pretty happy to me. In fact I don't think any of my babies were as happy as Dawson is. Anyway I will post more pics soon some of the big kids too oh and the big stinky dog.

I love that little boy! He is PERFECT to me! I will be over to get some kisses tomorrow!
ReplyDeleteI think he's happy, beautiful, and perfect!! They clearly were very uneducated & need some filters as well :) He's so handsome - wish you all lived closer - I think him and Ollie Faith would have a great time together!
